Hyundai launched the all-new Creta in the market last week. We drove the new Creta in Jodhpur, and a detailed review of the new Creta is available on our website, as well as our YouTube channel. The Hyundai Creta has already reached dealerships, and deliveries for the same have also started. Hyundai is offering the current iteration of the Creta in E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX(O) variants. Here we have a video where a vlogger compares the base E and EX variants, showing all the differences.
The video has been shared by Kataria Garage on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger does a quick walkaround of both E and EX variants of the Creta, showing differences. The E variant of the Creta is priced at Rs 10.99 lakh, ex-showroom, and the EX variant is priced at Rs 12.17 lakh, ex-showroom (for petrol). The vlogger shows the exterior of the Creta first. Both E and EX variants look the same with LED DRLs, projector halogen headlamps, parametric front grille, turn indicators on the fender, body-colored door handles, and LED tail lamps with a connecting LED bar.
The E variant comes with manually adjustable ORVMs, while the EX variant gets electrically adjustable ones. The other major change between these two variants is the antenna. The EX variant gets a shark fin antenna, while the E variant comes with a regular roof-mounted antenna. Both these variants come with fabric seats, armrest for rear seat passengers, rear AC vents, type C charging ports, manual AC, flat-bottom steering wheel, and other features. What makes these variants different are a few features. The EX variant gets a small touchscreen infotainment system, a sunglass holder with cabin lights, and steering-mounted controls for the infotainment.
All these features are missing in the base E variant. Both these variants, however, offer all four power windows, Carens-like digital instrument cluster, grab handles, and other features. Hyundai now offers features like ABS with EBD and ESC, 6 airbags, TPMS, three-pointer seat belts for all three passengers at the rear, 60:40 split rear seats, and so on. The vlogger in this video concludes by saying that he feels the base E variant is still a value-for-money option, as the EX variant is only offering 4 more features than the E. This is something that a customer can actually install as an aftermarket accessory in the future without spending much.
Hyundai Creta E and EX variants are available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The E and EX variants are offered with the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual transmission with these variants. The diesel version of the Creta uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and is also available with a 6-speed manual transmission only. Other than these two, the Creta is also available with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates around 160 Ps and 253 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 7-speed DCT only, while the other two engines get manual as well as IVT and torque converter automatic options. The price for Hyundai Creta starts at Rs 10.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
