Aston Martin has refreshed the DBX707 for 2025, finally fixing the original’s most problematic trait with a long-awaited update to the SUV’s infotainment system. The interior has received an accompanying redesign to accommodate the above, too, and Aston has seen fit to enhance the chassis of the super-SUV for even better performance. Above all else, the DBX707 is the only model in the DBX lineup, with Aston discontinuing the base, 542-horsepower V8 configuration.

The Infotainment Upgrade We’ve Been Waiting For

When we first drove the DBX707, the infotainment was one of the few faults we could find, with Managing Editor Roger Biermann describing it as “laggy and not entirely intuitive” and describing the lack of touch functionality on the 10.25-inch screen as a hindrance.” That’s why the most important upgrade to the 2025 DBX707 by far is the introduction of the brand’s next-generation infotainment system that originally appeared on the DB12.

Comprising a 12.3-inch instrument cluster (1.5 inches larger than the DB12 and Vantage) and a 10.25-inch central touchscreen display, Aston’s in-house setup fixes prior issues thanks to the inclusion of multiple USB-C port connections, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and full online connectivity supported by the Aston Martin App. Finally, a 14-speaker sound system is now standard, with a Bowers & Wilkins 23-speaker system optional.

You Can’t Get A New Screen Without A New Interior

The British automaker wouldn’t just slap a new system in the old interior, so it’s made plenty of unique and well-appointed changes customers are going to love. The overall layout is similar to the last one, but the new switchgear and infotainment system are much better integrated than before, looking clean and crisp, especially with the bright orange interior of the press pictures.

The company says the aim was a strong linear theme horizontally and vertically, with the overall goal of reducing the height and feel of the inside, thus making it feel more like the cockpit of a supercar. A new steering wheel has been added along with redesigned door release handles and air vents, both of which now match in bright or dark chrome. Other changes include new door veneer panels in a variety of new materials like gloss smoked oak or updated ziricote wood.

Performance Upgrades: An Unchanged Engine But A Revised Chassis

With the base V8 dropped from the lineup, the DBX707 now becomes the official entry-level SUV from Aston Martin. The engine and transmission remain unchanged, meaning you still have 697 hp and 663 lb-ft of torque at your disposal, put to good use to hit 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and make the DBX707 one of the fastest SUVs in the world with a 193-mph top speed.

But the engineers have created a new calibration for the electronic dampers and air springs to ensure better body control at all times.

Exterior Refinements With Five New Colors

As is so in vogue these days, the door handles of the DBX707 now ‘present’ themselves as you unlock and come close to the vehicle. Other changes include new wing mirrors with a fixed assembly, allowing the housing and glass to move as one when adjusting. This fixes another gripe we had with the original when the driver’s side mirror wouldn’t adjust outward enough for proper rearward visibility. Aston claims the new mirrors also optimize the Advanced Driver Assistance System with better camera placement.

The 2025 DBX707 sees the return of Podium Green, which first debuted on the DBX707 AMR23 Edition, to the paint palette but also sees the addition of five new hues:

Two new wheel colors have been added, too: Satin Black on the 23-inch Fortis wheel and Copper Bronze on the 23-inch Forged wheel.
