2025 Aston Martin Vanquish: Everything We Know About The V12 Flagship

  • The iconic Vanquish nameplate is returning for a third generation with a sleek, modern design and aggressive stance.
  • Aston Martin’s new supercar will boast a completely reworked 12-cylinder engine producing 824 hp and 737 lbs-ft / 1,000 Nm.
  • The interior promises an even more luxurious experience than the previous model, featuring high-end materials and new tech.

The last time 007 was spied piloting an Aston Martin Vanquish was in Die Another Day of the long-running James Bond movie franchise. A lot has changed since then. Daniel Craig replaced Pierce Brosnan (and, after five movies, the producers are now looking for his replacement), and Aston Martin has transformed with different owners and technological advancements.

The Vanquish nameplate has also evolved and is being readied for its third-generation appearance. Our spies have scooped it wearing minimal camo, suggesting a reveal isn’t far off the cards, so let’s dive into everything we know about Gaydon’s V12 flagship.

A Design to Die For

Unlike other models in the automaker’s lineup, Aston has taken a reductive, more organic approach to the design philosophy behind the Vanquish. It features swoopy lines, a colossal grille, gigantic brakes, and hood vents for thermal management.

While the greenhouse apes that of the DB12, it has a C-pillar more reminiscent of the DB9. The car relies on larger dimensions to cement its muscular stance with pumped haunches and new-look side vents. Out back, it sports a ducktail spoiler and a three-dimensional “straked” taillamp design echoing the units found on the new Vantage and the limited-run Valour.

Further down, an angular rear diffuser with quad exhaust pipes adds to the car’s aggressive aesthetic. Massive wheels and brakes complete the menacing, grand-touring picture.

Aston Martin DB12 interior

The interior is set to build upon the DB12’s cabin design with more luxurious appointments to rival Bentley’s Continental GT. Expect a minimalist shifter and free-flouting console arrangement with many personalization options for the seats and trim. If that’s not enough, Q by Aston Martin will up the ante with an endless array of different colors and materials to satisfy anyone’s tastes.

Tech goodies will most likely include Aston’s next-gen infotainment system, which integrates a 10.25-inch Pure Black touchscreen with 4G connectivity, a voice assistant, and support for over-the-air updates, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Like the DB12, the Vanquish will use a bonded aluminum structure with structural reinforcements and adaptive damping to ensure grand tourer-level ride quality.

12-Cylinder Symphony

The Vanquish will use a thoroughly reworked V12 unit, which includes a strengthened block and conrods and a redesigned top-end with new turbochargers. Peak output will be 824 hp (614 kW) and a gravity-defying 1,000 Nm (737.6 lb-ft) of torque. You can see and hear the engine in Aston Martin’s recent teaser video.

Although the new V12 distinguishes the Vanquish from the DB12, it won’t be exclusive to it. The British manufacturer has indicated that the motor will also serve duty in some of the more exclusive and limited-run models down the track.

Ferrari 12Cilindri

Recent reports suggest an unveiling could occur during Monterey Car Week in California this August. The Vanquish will compete against Ferrari’s new 12Cilindri (the successor to the 812 Superfast) and Lamborghini Revuelto.
