The Ford Expedition is set to receive a comprehensive overhaul for 2025, with the current generation first launched in 2018 before a mid-cycle refresh arrived in 2022. Although the body itself isn’t set to change drastically, the 2025 Expedition should wear new front and rear designs. But the big news is inside, where our spy photographer has captured images of a new infotainment setup that looks to be inspired by the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus.
The Nautilus is the first vehicle to debut with Ford’s latest infotainment system, called Digital Experience, which in the Lincoln is rendered across a 48-inch screen spanning the width of the dashboard. Although the 2025 Ford Explorer uses the new system sans the panoramic screen, it appears the Expedition will adopt a similar setup to the Nautilus, with an expansive pillar-to-pillar display seemingly hiding under the fabric cover in the spy photos.
Like on the Nautilus, the full-width screen isn’t expected to be touch responsive. The smaller display in front serves as a touchscreen to control what is shown on the bigger panel above. Thankfully, the Expedition appears to still retain physical controls for the gear selector and volume.
The 2025 Expedition is still wearing plenty of camouflage, so it is hard to make out the exterior updates, but we expect noticeable differences to the grille, headlights, and taillights. We expect the Expedition to continue with the 380-hp twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6, which is boosted to 400 ponies in the Limited model. The 2025 Expedition could gain more power or even possibly a hybrid powertrain, like the 430-hp system in the 2024 F-150. Rumors suggest the 2025 Ford Expedition will be revealed in the next couple of months.
