Positioned above the Elite and TrailSport derivatives, the Black Edition is the new pinnacle of the Pilot lineup, priced as such from $54,280. Like the TrailSport and Elite, it is only available with all-wheel drive with variable torque management.
“Adding the Black Edition to the Honda Pilot really ensures that our ultimate family SUV continues to set the benchmark in the midsize 3-row SUV class,” said Lance Woelfer, assistant vice president of Honda National Auto Sales.
Visually, it stands apart with gloss black 20-inch alloy wheels and the black-out treatment on the grille bar, wing mirror caps, window surrounds, door garnish, rear bumper garnish, and front air ducts. It gets Black Edition scripted badges on the front and rear.
Inside, it’s not all black as one might expect. Instead, the Black Edition gets trim-exclusive red-accented perforated leather, red contrast stitching, and red accent lighting for the dash, doors, and center console. More Black Edition logos are found on the front seats and floor mats.
