Speaking of the minimalist interior, the standard Ioniq 5 benefits from a new climate control layout, a three-spoke steering wheel, and improved infotainment controls. The “Universal Island” center console, which previously housed the cupholders, has been redesigned and now includes a conveniently located wireless device charger.
Frequently used controls (such as those for the heated seats, steering wheel, and park assist function) can now be located on the center console.
The revised Ioniq 5 continues to use the ccNC infotainment setup and Blue Link streaming service. That being said, the infotainment system has been improved and will continue to do so, thanks to over-the-air updates. Concerning driver assist systems, the Ioniq 5 has had updates to its lane-keeping and remote smart parking assist systems.
Korean market Ioniq 5s receive intelligent headlights, Digital Key 2, a digital rearview mirror, and remote folding rear seats as standard.
Updates specific to the US market will surely follow before long.
