Sharing his pre-launch insight, Raja Roy Choudhury, CEO, DPGC said, “Our infrastructure is ready to roll out EVAT. Equipped with Japanese Technology production of the Darwin EVAT has already begun at Delhi-NCR located facility. The manufacturing plant adopts eco-friendly and sustainable manufacturing practices. This plant provides an integrated system for Battery Pack Manufacturing and Testing, Vehicle Assembly, and Vehicle End of Line Testing (EOL). We are in the process of setting up a robust dealership and retail network across the country so that we can meet the growing demand for eco-friendly, energy-saving, and low-cost vehicles. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the occasion of the nation’s 75th Independence Day, stressed for energy independence through the use of biofuels, solar energy, and electric vehicles (EVs). EV two-wheeler sales in India are expected to grow at the rate of more than 78 percent by 2030. Darwin EVAT, before hitting the market, would ensure that our customers get excellent post-sales services. Charging infrastructure is one of the major concerns when it comes to the growth and broader adoption of EVs in the country. The high-growth mobility segment demands a highly efficient ecosystem in terms of manufacturing, sales, charging and post-sales services. Now we are focusing more on our marketing and sales networks. The automobile industry is undergoing an electric revolution, and Darwin EVAT would enormously contribute with its premium vehicles. Going forward, we will launch E-vehicles in high-speed segment and EV 4 wheelers too”.
