This week is going to be a flood of numbers and new products. By the time many of you read this Monday morning, we’ll have early reviews of three new vehicles just off embargo.
TheDetroitBureau team has been all over the country in the last week spending time in newest offerings from Hyundai, Subaru and Mazda. Our week starts early — 12:01 a.m. Monday, that’s when we can first offer our full driving impressions of the all-electric Ioniq 6 from Hyundai.
We follow that up with Mazda’s all-new CX-90. Replacing the CX-9, it’s the Japanese brand’s new flagship model. As such it aims to elevate Mazda to a new level of expectation among buyers.

Finally, we follow that with new Subaru Impreza 9 a.m., which will remind folks the brand does produce a vehicle other than the Outback and the Crosstrek, which I’ll come back to shortly.
However, there are several other new vehicles we’ll be chronicling as well heading to the New York International Auto Show, including the Mercedes-Benz GLS Monday night, the Ram 1500 Rev, Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness, Jeep Wrangler and Toyota Prius Prime all hit our website on Wednesday, April 5. The final new vehicle debut, the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid, comes late on Thursday.
However, the week isn’t about how exciting a new vehicle can be, automakers will be reporting their sales numbers for March and the first quarter, beginning on Monday. Those numbers are expected by analysts to be up.
