History will tell you that the French Riviera has spent a long time being known as a luxurious destination, with gorgeous weather, fabulous views, and the ultimate experience of summer fun. That’s why for the ninth year of London Craft Week, Rolls-Royce turned there for inspiration, rather than its equally-historic home of Goodwood. With London Craft Week being all about craftsmanship, Rolls-Royce is showing off its unparalleled ability in that exactly, and displaying various examples of its beautiful artisan craftsmanship in the window of its Mayfair store in London from May 8 to May 14, all with the stunning French Riviera as the theme.
The first is the “Shoreline Inspired Fascia,” which uses Ash Burr veneer to evoke sand, and a candy-finish paint to mimic the Mediterranean Sea, complete with hand-painted waves. After that is the “Riviera Inspired Headliner,” which features an image of a Riviera town painted on Turchese leather, with stitching in the vibrant colors the region is known for, and 3D flowers made from thread, with beads in the middle to add texture. Four Coachline motifs evoke the Riviera life: a boat, waves, an umbrella, and a coastal town, all displayed on an Arctic White panel. A bespoke umbrella completes the collection, finished in Turchese and Arctic White, displaying the full beauty of both the Riviera and Rolls-Royce, and especially its dedication to excellence and artistry.
