To make the 12 street legal versions easier to drive on the road, the horsepower had to be dialed back from 1,200 to 700 hp in Strada (Street) mode, 900 hp in Sport mode, and the entire 1,217 hp can be uncorked using Corsa (Race) mode.
The way the LP1200 Strada drives both on the street and the track is down to the Racing and Development Driver for Zyrus Engineering, Fredrik Sorlie. Sorlie is an ex-racing driver, a drifter, a precision driver, and a Nurburgring-rat steeped in Norwegian car culture.
He ties this car together as deadly serious rather than some tuning company just heaping horsepower and dressing a Lamborghini with carbon fiber parts.
