Tesla's Supercharger Network Is The Most Reliable In The US By Far

American data analytics company JD Power revealed that Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) is the most reliable in the US, making Tesla the top choice among electric vehicle (EV) buyers. Aside from reliability, Tesla also has the largest fast-charging network in America, with nearly 19,500 hubs nationwide, while adding 1,292 supercharger ports in the first quarter of 2023 alone. To put that in perspective, EVgo has the second largest network, with around 2,250 fast charging ports in the US.

JD Power‘s data showed that Tesla is in a league of its own regarding EV charging station reliability. The study stated that only 3.9% of EV drivers could not use the Tesla supercharger network to charge their vehicles. In comparison, 21.6% of EV drivers could not charge their EVs using non-Tesla public charging stations.
