To produce the most precise scale model, Aston Martin provided Amalgam with detailed specifications, paint codes, and even archive imagery, ensuring that it’s as near-perfect as possible. Each model is comprised of thousands of meticulously engineered parts, including castings and CNC-machined metal pieces.
As a 1:8 scale piece, it’s larger than your average model car, at 22 inches long. It would make the perfect desk decoration for a wealthy car collector, especially as the DB5 is a work of automotive art. The model receives Silver Birch paintwork, which is arguably the most iconic color for this classic sports car – you can thank James Bond for that.
Amalgam has done a fine job at creating a miniature version of the DB5’s 4.0-liter engine. As the Vantage model, the inline-six engine produces 325 horsepower, up from the base model’s 282 hp. The DB5 is already a rare car, but the Vantage is rarer still. A mere 65 examples were produced over the years.
