The IronTrap Garage Cleanest 1940 Ford EVER Project: Some Simple Stuff Has This Thing Driving Mint!

They said it was the cleanest 1940 Ford they had ever seen, and it just might be true. Check out the video below to see them taking this thing for it’s first drives after doing a tiny bit of maintenance and repair on it. Not much, but just enough to get it up and running again. If you missed the first video of getting the car, use the link below. If you’ve already watched it though, then watch the new video below and tell me you wouldn’t love to be driving this car right now.

Mike and the crew from IronTrap Garage recently added this incredible 1940 Ford Tudor to the fold. I dig early Fords and this ’40 is something special. It might even be too nice for me to ruin. With that said, if I was going to do something to a car like this it would involve a dropped axle up front, a little bit of lowering out back, and maybe a T-5 five speed behind the Flatty. Or a 2 speed Columbia rear since I know where one of those is hiding as well.

Man this thing is cool, and if you missed the video of them getting it, use the link below. It’s worth a watch for sure.

Video Description:

After unloading the cherry 1940 Ford, Matt and Steve decided to dive right in! Matt and Steve first take a look at the under side to see how clean the 40 really is. After a quick once over it’s time to pull the carb off and see how gross it is. We found a few issues and got the carb cleaned up. Matt and his nephew head to the gas station for the first fill up to see how much better it drives! After passing the driving test, it’s back on the lift to get the bad exhaust leaks fixed!
