Rusty old 2009 Mahindra Bolero converted into sparkling new 2023 model [Video]

Here on Cartoq, we have shared numerous conversions of Toyota Innovas, Fortuners, and a few other notable cars in the country. However, we have only shared a few conversions of Mahindra vehicles. This is because there aren’t many people who convert Mahindra SUVs from old to new. But recently, people have started doing these conversions on popular Mahindra SUVs like the Scorpios and Boleros. Most recently, we came across a video where an old, scrappy Mahindra Bolero from 2009 was converted into a brand new Mahindra Bolero 2023 model.

The video of this epic conversion of a 2009 Mahindra Bolero into a 2023 Mahindra Bolero BSVI has been shared on YouTube by Nitesh Motor Body on their channel. The video starts off with the presenter showing the 2009 Mahindra Bolero in a very dilapidated condition. He shows the front of the car and mentions that the entire front fascia of the car is destroyed, and the owner has been driving it by attaching things with wires, ropes, and screws. After that, he shows the side profile of the car and states that almost every panel of the car has rusting issues. The presenter then proceeds to show the rear and interior of the car, both of which are in a very deteriorated condition.

Moving on, the presenter shows the car at their workshop. The car can be seen getting disassembled, and the presenter states that the first thing they have taken out is the front crash protection and the fascia. Then, the presenter shows the car getting fully stripped down to the bare metal. It can be noted that all the patches where there was rusting were repaired with new metal. The presenter adds that they have painted the right side of the car in red oxide. This application prevents the new metal from getting rusted again.

Following this, the car goes through the bodywork stage where all the dents are removed. Then, the car gets filled with glazing putty and sanded. Meanwhile, the presenter shows that the entire 2023 front end has been ordered directly from Mahindra, and all the parts are genuine Mahindra parts. After the sanding process, the car gets a full spray of primer to make all the surfaces as smooth as possible before it is finally painted. The video then shows the entire car getting painted in the pearl white color of the Bolero.

Moving on, the presenter shows the car with the newly fitted grille, featuring the new Mahindra twin peaks logos, and the new 2023 Bolero headlights. He explains that they are currently installing the wiring loom and the old dashboard. After that, he shows the updated taillights, and finally, after the installation of all the new parts, the presenter reveals the fully finished car. From the video, it can be noted that the job has been done very carefully, and at a glance, nobody can tell that this is the same car that came in.
