Mercedes-Benz has teased a new concept car expected to preview the next-gen CLA-Class, with the concept scheduled for a reveal at IAA Mobility 2023 (formerly the Frankfurt Auto Show).
The company says that the concept, “is the company’s vision for the Mercedes-Benz Entry Segment,” and will display “class-leading innovation, design, and digital experience” as well. As many teasers do, this one unveils very little about the vehicle, besides its silhouette, but from what we can tell, the company isn’t straying from its current design ethos.
Sitting on the new “electric first” MMA architecture, the vehicle has been designed with electric power as the main focus. For a bit, we figured this meant the vehicle would be diving head-first into its electric future, but an ICE version has been caught testing, leading us to believe the A- and CLA-Class will maintain a multi-powertrain approach.
