The exterior and interior are sublime, but the real work has gone into elevating the driving experience beyond what the standard car was capable of. The driving experience has been elevated, and not just because of the power increase. GBR001 also comes with a five-stage TracTive Controlled Electronics damping system which was fine-tuned over an extensive development process.
Things are now better packaged, thanks to a lighter, MIL-Spec wiring loom that is carefully threaded through the body of the vehicle, a new AC compressor, and a new electric power steering pump that has been relocated to the front of the car to ensure even better weight distribution.
Pushing the air-cooled 3.8-liter flat-six engine on some back roads will activate the new trumpet-style air intakes. The car will also feel more responsive than the original thanks to new throttle bodies designed by Jenvey, a single mass flywheel, and Theon’s own engine management system.
