The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited launched its newest and most expensive offering to date the Maruti Suzuki Invicto just a while ago. The Invicto as we all are aware is based on the Toyota Innova Hycross and is a badge-engineered model. However, a ton of people have this curiosity as to what really are the differences between these two MPVs. Well to answer this recently a video was shared online which goes into all the major differences between the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Invicto and the Toyota Innova Hycross.

The video comparing the all-new Maruti Suzuki Invicto and Toyota Innova Hycross has been shared on YouTube by Rajni Chaudhary on their channel. The presenter begins by comparing the keys of both MPVs, mentioning that both keys have lock and unlock buttons. However, the Suzuki Invicto key has a third button for opening the powered tailgate, setting it apart. The keys otherwise look nearly identical. The presenter emphasizes that the tailgate button is exclusive to the top-spec variant of the Suzuki, while the Toyota key lacks it due to being from the VX variant, which serves as the base variant for the Toyota Innova Hycross hybrid lineup.

Afterward, the presenter delves into the differences in exterior design between the two MPVs. Before that, she clarifies the variant lineup for both the Maruti Suzuki Invicto and Toyota Innova Hycross. The Innova Hycross comes in three hybrid variants: VX, ZX, and ZX(O), all equipped with petrol drivetrains. In contrast, the Invicto offers a hybrid lineup exclusively, with two options: Zeta+ and Alpha+.

Once the variant lineups are explained, the presenter proceeds with comparing the exterior features of both cars. She starts by focusing on the Maruti Suzuki Invicto, noting that it incorporates more chrome accents compared to the VX variant of the Innova Hycross. Specifically, she mentions a thick chrome bar on the top and bottom of the grille, absent in the Innova Hycross. The headlights also differ, with the Invicto featuring Nexa’s three-block LED DRLs and blacked-out chrome inside the lights, a contrast to the Innova Hycross. Furthermore, she highlights that the grille designs vary, with the Invicto’s resembling that of the Grand Vitara. The presenter also points out distinct bumper designs and concludes that she prefers the Invicto’s front end design overall.

Moving on, the presenter showcases the side profiles of both MPVs. She indicates that the Maruti Suzuki Invicto is equipped with 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, along with chrome-treated door handles and the fuel filler cap positioned on the passenger side. Transitioning to the Toyota Innova, she notes that its side profile mirrors that of the Invicto, except for the differing alloy wheel design.

The presenter then shifts focus to the rear profiles of the vehicles, highlighting their almost identical appearance. The sole difference lies in the Invicto’s rear taillamps, which sport Nexa’s signature three-block pattern. Finally, she explores the interiors of both cars, mentioning their similarities, except for seat design and champagne-colored accents surrounding the Invicto’s dashboard.
