The weight of BMW’s first all-electric armored sedan has also been optimized to ensure superior agility, acceleration, and top speed. The BMW i7 Protection boasts dual electric motors, yielding 544 horsepower and 549 lb-ft of torque, and a top speed of 155 mph.
Meanwhile, the BMW 7 Series Protection features a V8 engine with 48-volt mild hybrid tech, offering 530 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, and BMW’s intelligent xDrive all-wheel-drive system.
Both models feature 20-inch alloy wheels with specialized Michelin run-flat tires for driving at up to 50 mph without air pressure. The 7 Series and i7 Protection also offer various optional features such as a fresh-air supply system, automatic fire extinguisher, lights, radio transceivers, and flag poles.
