Influence and Impact Episode 2 – C-10 Truck History 1967-72, Patina to High-End, Classic Truck Industry

This new series from the guys at Auto Revolution is pretty darn cool! If you ever wondered how the C10 trucks you know and love came to be so influential in the custom truck and hot rod scene, and how the builders you know and love got to be who they are, then this is a series you are going to want to watch. In this video, which is the 2nd episode in the series, the 1967-1972 C10 will be the topic.

It sounds funny, but there are ton of people that don’t even know that the 60-66 models are the first C10s. They think the 1967-1972 was the first, and that’s just not the case. I like the early trucks, and have since I was a kid, but many folks considered them the ugly duckling for a long time. Watch the video and see how Dino and Delmo became the dudes, while also bringing the positive attention these early C10s deserve.

Video Description:

Auto Revolution’s Influence & Impact traces the automotive history of custom car and truck builders.

Considered the pinnacle of the C-10 era trucks, the 1967 to 1972 Chevrolet truck has been the most desirable model in the past decade. They have been sought after by hot rodders, mini truckers, off-road builders, and pro-touring enthusiasts alike.

Dubbed the Action Line Series; this design was a step towards a more modern comfortable and sporty truck that’s still held its own on the farm or job site.

If the early 60s Chevy trucks were the foundation of the modern C-10 craze; then the Action Line series is surely the branch that helped spawn an entire classic truck industry.

Stay tuned for the next episode about the final model of C-10 trucks, the timeless Squarebody 73-87.
