Kia Seltos and Mercedes Benz E-Class sedan collide: Here’s the result

In the past, we have featured several videos and images of accidents on our website. In most cases, occupants walk away with minor injuries, while in others, some lose their loved ones. Careless driving is one of the major reasons for most accidents. With the number of accidents increasing on the road, people have now started looking for cars with better build quality. Here, we have a video in which a Kia Seltos SUV was hit by a Mercedes-Benz E-Class luxury sedan. Both vehicles reacted to the impact in different ways.

The video has been shared by Nikhil Rana on his YouTube channel. The pictures were actually shared by one of his subscribers from Kerala, where the accident happened. According to the video, a Mercedes-Benz E-Class luxury sedan crashed into a Kia Seltos. It is not clear who was actually at fault here. The left side of both cars has been damaged in the accident. Looking at the pictures, it appears that the Kia Seltos has sustained more damage.

The front bumper, headlight, fender, and the left tire are all damaged in the accident. The cabin of the Kia Seltos looks intact; however, the bonnet has also been damaged in this crash. Turning to the Mercedes-Benz, the E-Class has also been damaged in the crash. Just like the Kia Seltos, the headlight, a portion of the bumper, fender, and the bonnet are damaged in the E-Class. The door and the ORVM have also suffered some damage in this accident. Thankfully, occupants in both the Kia Seltos and Mercedes-Benz escaped without any major injuries.

We can see that the airbags in the E-Class deployed on time, but we cannot confirm the same for the Kia Seltos. This discrepancy might be due to the way the image was taken. The tire on the E-Class also got damaged in the crash. In the pictures, it appears that the Kia Seltos has suffered major damage while the E-Class owner got lucky. However, if you have been following our page for some time, you would know that maintaining a luxury car is much more expensive than a mid-size SUV. While the damage on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class looks minor, repairing or replacing the parts is going to cost the owner a lot. In fact, the repair cost of the Mercedes-Benz might be much higher than that of the Kia Seltos.

Kia recently launched the facelifted version of the Seltos in the market. The SUV involved in the accident is actually the pre-facelift model. Deliveries for the new Seltos have already started. The Kia Seltos had scored a 3-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. The vlogger in this video asks authorities to conduct a crash test on the facelifted version to see if Kia has improved the overall build quality.
