Meanwhile, the central screen is still 15.4 inches, albeit with slimmer bezels for less negative space. A new 8.0-inch rear display with integrated climate, ventilation, and infotainment controls has also been added.
The American automaker has introduced a 17-speaker system with two subwoofers and two amplifiers to the Long Range AWD. The Standard Range RWD version has nine speakers, one subwoofer, and one amplifier. Dog, Camp, and Sentry Modes are retained in the updated model, as well as the infamous Autopilot.
Tesla went for steering-mounted “gear” controls instead of a traditional lever – a similar execution found on the Model S and Model X. The automaker’s emblem on the tiller has also been replaced with the Tesla wordmark.
Unfortunately, specifics about the battery sizes and performance are still unknown. Deliveries in Europe and the Middle East will reportedly happen towards the end of October, while Australia will get them early next year.
