Awesome Toyota Hilux GR Sport Now Available To Buy But You Can't Have One

On the inside, the seats are covered in leather and perforated suede with contrasting grey stitching. The leather-wrapped steering wheel has a red center mark, a GR logo, and paddle shifters. The shifter has been given a unique visual treatment, while the aluminum pedals work beautifully with the brand-new “Technical Mesh” trim applied to the dashboard and doors. Finally, the red seat belts add even more sportiness and fit beautifully with the Gazoo Racing corporate colors.

Overall, it’s a much better product than 2018’s Hilux GR Sport, which was 4,200 pounds of disappointment. Back then, Toyota only included an obnoxious sticker package and stiffer front shocks. The result was a pickup that was even worse to drive on gravel than the standard car.

The Hilux GR Sport is only for sale in Australia and retails for roughly $47,500. That’s in the ballpark of what the all-new Tacoma top-spec models will cost, and the new TRD Pro seems like a much better bet than this truck. The new Ranger Raptor also retails for $55,000, which is a hefty difference, but it offers a lot more truck for the money. (To be fair, the Ranger Raptor costs the equivalent of $63k in Oz.)
