The build quality of a car is something that many customers have been considering lately before buying a car. Indian brands like Tata and Mahindra are known for their build quality. There have been many incidents in the past where the build quality of the cars has actually saved the lives of the occupants. When compared to other countries, driving on Indian roads is very risky. Rashly driven cars, jaywalkers, bikers, and car drivers coming from the wrong side, along with cattle and stray dogs, often pose a threat to motorists. Here, we have an incident from Rajasthan where a Mahindra Scorpio N crashed into a truck that was going in the opposite direction.
The video has been shared by Prateek Singh on his YouTube channel. The original videos were actually shared with him by one of his subscribers online. The accident happened on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad National Highway. According to the video, the Mahindra Scorpio N had two occupants, and the car was on the highway when this accident occurred. Due to some reason, the Mahindra Scorpio N driver lost control of the car. The exact reason behind it is not known, but the car was probably being driven at high speeds. After losing control, the Mahindra Scorpio N crashed into the divider on the highway.

It did not stop there. The SUV actually jumped over the median and crashed into a truck that was coming from the opposite direction. The truck driver probably did not have enough time to react or turn the truck away from the Scorpio N. The front of the truck is also damaged. After hitting the truck, the Mahindra Scorpio N is said to have rolled multiple times before coming to a complete halt. The side of the road is filled with parts from the Scorpio N SUV.
The front of the SUV is severely damaged. The front grille, headlights, bumper, and the left side front wheel are also damaged. The exact reason why the Scorpio N driver lost control is not known. The video even mentions that the driver accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brakes. It is a possibility that the driver was inexperienced and might have gotten distracted or scared by some obstacle on the road and accidentally pressed the accelerator. It is also possible that the car that was involved in the accident is an automatic car, and the driver is only familiar with manual cars. This is a common problem with people who switch from manual to automatic.
The rear of the Mahindra Scorpio N is also completely damaged. The roof is also damaged, and in the pictures, we can see that the car is lying upside down. The tailgate is completely damaged. It does not look like the airbags in the car deployed. The video does not mention anything about that, but we can see from the video that the curtain airbags did not deploy in the accident. The occupants in the car were lucky enough to have escaped the accident with minor injuries. The truck driver is also said to have escaped with minor injuries.
