There’s a haven for car enthusiasts in the heart of Northern Ireland, and it’s far from typical. Ali Burrows Motorsport, a place that reads like a shrine for Subie lovers, is dedicated to maintaining and restoring one of the rarest gems in the automotive world – the Subaru Impreza 22B STi.
This iconic vehicle – a rarity with only 425 units believed to have been produced – saw a unique distribution history. Of these, 400 units stayed in Japan, 16 made their way to the UK, five ventured down to Australia, and there are whispers of elusive prototypes.
For over 25 years, these cars have been etching their legacy, becoming legends among car enthusiasts. Like their mystique, their value has skyrocketed, with prices reaching hundreds of thousands of dollars, depending on their condition and provenance.
