Sometimes we forget that drag racing goes on all over the world, and that folks are ate up with it just as much as we are around here in some of those places. One such place is in the UK where Santa Pod Raceway is located and where this cool VW Bus calls home. It’s an 8 second machine that is still rear engined, and that is powered by a billet 3 liter that is still AIR COOLED! Yes!
I can only imagine what it is like riding all the way up front in this thing when it leaves. You’d feel every bit of front end lift to the extreme and it has to make it an absolute riot to drive. I dig this thing in every way and love the amount of work that has gone into it.

One thing we loved about our trip to Santa Pod Raceway was the variety cars that were fast that looked like they shouldn’t be. Like this old Volkswagen Bus, van, truck, or whatever you want to call it – we’re still undecided. It has a billet, air-cooled, 3.0L rear mounted engine, it’s shaped like a brick, and manages to crack 8 second passes in the quarter mile. Who wouldn’t love that?
