The crew says deciding on a set of wheels was a bit of a shot in the dark, given nobody has attempted an R8 build like this before, but they eventually settled on a gorgeous set of white multi-spoke beadlock Braid wheels wrapped in Falken Wildpeak Trail all-terrain tires. Finally, A steel bumper with floodlights and a roof rack were added to complete the look.
With all that work done, the crew put the car to the test on a two-mile course where all of the 4.2 liter V8’s 430 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque could be put to good use. We must say, the car looks right at home with a plume of dust in its wake as it drifts in circles, making the most of the excellent quattro AWD system.
