Other elements that make the new Santa Fe such a striking vehicle include H-shaped daytime running lights, exaggerated fenders, and blacked-out pillars that give it a floating roof effect.
A 2.5T engine is expected, based on initial images, and this could be the same as the current Santa Fe’s mill. If that’s the case, outputs will be 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive will be available, at the very least, with front-wheel drive expected to be standard. A plug-in hybrid version with up to 62 miles of all-electric range will be available at a later stage, based on reports out of Korea.
Inside, the H-motif from the exterior lighting is repeated on the dashboard, which has a clean, modern aesthetic. Technologies include a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and dual wireless charging pads.
