The 2024 Sorento will be the second Kia available in North America with the Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) operating system. Faster and more streamlined than before, the system is capable of over-the-air updates. Passengers benefit from wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and several USB-C ports are scattered throughout the cabin. A Digital Key will allow owners to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle with a smartphone.
Safety features include lane-keep assist, smart cruise control, and an available Highway Driving Assist 2 system that includes automatic lane change, among other options. Buyers can also specify a digital camera and surround view monitor, presumably at extra cost.
The refreshed Sorento will hit dealerships in Q1 2024, with the hybrid and PHEV arriving shortly afterward. Expect pricing to be announced closer to the on-sale date.
