Powering the GWM Tank 700 is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with an electric motor, producing a combined output of 517 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid powertrain sends power to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
With the Mercedes-Benz G-Class available stateside, we’re unsure if we want to see the Chinese vehicle on our roads. The latter is only sold for 700,000 yuan (or about $97,078 in current exchange rates), around $42,000 less than the entry-level G-Class.
GWM will produce 70 units only in the first batch, with deliveries scheduled for February next year.
