In a cryptic teaser post on Instagram, Alfa Romeo has confirmed the name of its next new crossover: Brennero. This name has been circulating the rumor mill since at least 2020, but now it has been confirmed in a very unusual way. The animated Instagram post below shows four different coordinates, each of which seems to foreshadow a characteristic of the new vehicle.
One is for Alfa Romeo’s Museo Storico, suggesting that the new car will be pretty enough to live in a museum. Another is for the Balocco Proving Ground, where Stellantis will aim to deliver impressive handling dynamics. These driving chops will be put to the test in the real world in places like the third location, the famous Stelvio Pass.
Finally, the last set of coordinates takes us to the Brenner (Brennero in Italian) Transit Station at the foot of the Brenner Pass, confirming the long-suspected name.
