Fully-Functioning 72cc V12 Engine Makes An Incredible Noise

It runs on 95-octane gasoline and has a 4.2 fl oz fuel tank. While that’s all very interesting, this engine’s most important part is its sound. And, boy, does it deliver on that front.

Despite its size, the teeny-tiny V12 emits a delightful noise with a throaty grumble at idle speeds. While it doesn’t sound as smooth as a modern-day twelve-cylinder engine, the sporty burble puts one in mind of older V12 supercars, like the Lamborghini Miura or a Ferrari 365 GTB/4. It’s refined, but there’s a hint of menace beneath the silky bellow.

And it gets even better as it explores the rev range. Around 7,500 rpm, it sounds like a tiny Ferrari is being revved somewhere in the distance. It’s a beautifully designed machine; it starts without needing to be coaxed into life, and, according to the maker, there are no oil leaks.
