The Lamborghini Gallardo is a lasting supercar icon. With its exotic, eye-catching design, impressive performance, and unique, rare V10 powertrain and exhaust note, it’s remained a favorite among many automotive enthusiasts around the world after over a decade being discontinued.
As part of the Car Trek YouTube series with Hoovie’s Garage, Tavarish, and VINwiki, VINwiki’s Ed Bolian purchased a cheap, salvaged, flood-damaged 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, originally finished in black with a cream leather interior and embarked on a road trip with it, among many other activities along with the other cheap supercars. One notable and desirable feature that this specific Gallardo has is the fact that it features the coveted gated six-speed manual transmission, something that only becomes more precious and valuable as the years go by.
That car went on an incredible journey of being repaired, getting a blue wrap, and participating in memorable, funny, and awe-inspiring moments, all captured in the Car Trek series on YouTube.
Under Ed Bolian’s ownership, the throw-out bearing, rear main seal, clutch, and fuel pump were all replaced, and today, it’s a far cry from the barely-running condition it was in when Bolian originally purchased it.
With 15,575 miles on the odometer, the car also comes with a license plate signed by Ed Bolian himself. It’s listed on Sotheby’s Motorsport for auction from its current owner in Maplewood, New Jersey.
