Over the years, the popularity of expensive sports cars and supercars in India has gone up. If you are from a metro city, spotting a sports car on the road is not a big thing. However, there are sports car owners who like to do things a bit differently for many reasons. Here we have a video where a Porsche 718 Boxster owner from Madhya Pradesh actually takes his sports car off-road down a rocky slope. How did the car perform? Let’s check the video to find out.

The video has been shared by the Malwa Supercars Club on their YouTube channel. The Porsche 718 Boxster is a low-slung drop-top sports car. It is usually used on smooth roads and twisties for a thrilling driving experience. Off-roading is probably the last thing that one would think to do with this car. The owner of the sports car here does just that. In the video, we see a Porsche Boxster parked on the top of a dune. There is a track made by trucks and other vehicles that move through the stretch. It is a downward slope, but the surface is not even. There are rocks poking out as well as small ruts.

The driver is extremely careful while driving the car down. He ensures that the bumper or the underbody of the car does not hit any of the rocks or rub against the uneven surface. At one point, the Porsche only had its three wheels on the ground. The car driver then slowly drives the car forward and then reverses slightly before turning the car to a flatter surface. The excitement and fear were equally visible on the Porsche sports car owner’s face. This was definitely a stupid thing to do. The Porsche Boxster 718 is a sports car, and off-roading is not something that it is meant to do.

If you really want to do such stuff, Porsche has SUVs like Macan and Cayenne in their lineup. The 718 Boxster sports car does not come with off-roading features like hill descent control or ride height adjustment for off-roading or off-road driving modes and tires to help it ride down the rocky and muddy terrain seen in the video. One thing that the car does get is ABS. This did help the car a lot while coming down the slope. If it was not for the ABS, the car might have actually slipped and slid all the way down. This would have been bad, as the driver would have lost control over the car in that situation, and the chances of damaging it would also be high. Any damage to a car like this is going to be extremely expensive.

We really hope the owner did not damage the car at all while doing this stupid stunt in his sports car. The Porsche Boxster seen in the video is a 2018 model sports car. It is powered by a 2.0-liter flat-four-cylinder petrol engine that generates 296 bhp and 380 nm of peak torque. This is not the first time we have come across a video like this on the internet.
