The several track challenges, including a drift session, made the festival more fun. The AE86, also known as the Corolla Sport in the US and the spiritual predecessor of the modern-day Toyota GR86, was an affordable RWD car, perfect for drifting. If you can’t find a good AE86 deal, you can still consider its spiritual successor, the 86, for getting into the sport without breaking the bank.
The festival also hosted a time attack challenge, joined by N2 time attack cars capable of clocking lap times under a minute around the 2.0 km (1.2 mile) Tsukuba Circuit in Japan. It beats the record-breaking McLaren Senna and the track-oriented Porsche 911 GT3 RS – both lapped the track in a minute.
