When it comes to Indian car buyers, most of them like to go for the lower to mid-spec trims of popular cars in the country. This is because not everyone can afford or sees the value in the top-of-the-line variants. So what a lot of these lower and mid-spec variant owners like to do is take their cars to aftermarket shops and get the accessories installed as they like. Recently, another video of one such customer, Kia Carens, has been shared online. This middle trim variant of the premium MPV from Kia has been transformed with the help of a number of aftermarket accessories.
Kia Carens Mid-to-Top Conversion
This video of the Kia Carens mid-to-top spec conversion has been on YouTube by Vig Auto Accessories on their channel. It starts off with the owner of the shop from Navi Mumbai, popular for converting base variants to top variants, showing the front end of this particular Kia Carens. He mentions that at the front, they have installed Osram LED projector headlights and Hella Black Magic LED fog lamps.
Next up, the presenter moves to the side profile of the car and shows the modifications done by them. He states that the car, although came with the diamond-cut alloy wheels, didn’t come equipped with the silver side claddings and flush-fitted footstep. So these are the two modifications that they have added. Apart from this, he then shows the rear end of the car and mentions that they have added chrome rear garnish on the bumper and also the chrome garnish on the front bumper as well.
Interior Modifications
Soon after showing the exterior updates given to this Carens MPV, the presenter opens the doors to provide a detailed look at the new interior. He starts by stating that they have changed the theme of the car and have given a champagne gold and black leather interior. He shows the newly leather-wrapped door pads where the new champagne gold leather has been added. He also shows the new leather seat covers and also adds that they have wrapped the A, B, and C pillars in the same champagne gold leather.
Apart from this, the presenter also adds that they have provided this car with a black soft-touch fabric headliner to add to the luxury appearance. Next up he shows the front of the car and adds that they have added genuine top variants window controls as they come different in the mid-spec variant. He also shows the newly added techno print dashboard panel, which is also a top-spec trim exclusive part. The presenter adds that the steering wheel has also been replaced with a genuine Kia GT Line variant leather-wrapped D-Cut steering.
