With the Audi S8 and RS6 sharing components, including the engine, the former is just one tune away from delivering Audi RS-like performance. UK-based tuner Hass Performance did so with a stock-looking S8, capable of generating a whopping 1,080 horsepower from a 4.0-liter V8, or twice the power from the factory.
But what’s more impressive is how the tuner achieved such power, considering the engine runs on stock internals. The hot vee eight-cylinder is instead coupled with an SRM low-pressure fuel pump, an Autotech high-pressure fuel pump, upgraded fuel lines, a Merc Racing charge cooler core, a Prometh injection pump, and 4,000 cc meth injectors.
