Porsche is ready to revamp its EV pioneer.
As Porsche’s first all-electric model, the Porsche Taycan has sent shockwaves through the industry with its excellent performance, luxury, design, and innovation. However, while it might feel like the Taycan was added to Porsche’s lineup very recently, it’s actually going on five years since the Taycan was first introduced.
Along with the reveal of Porsche’s second all-electric model, the new electric version of the Porsche Macan, Porsche is set to reveal a new, revamped version of the Taycan, ushering in a new chapter in Porsche’s electrification journey. The new generation models are now in their final testing phase, with over 2 million testing miles covered thus far, covering race tracks and public roads, in conditions ranging from Death Valley to the Arctic Circle.
The brief: “Faster, Higher, Further,” which means that Porsche has set out to improve the Taycan’s engineering and design on all fronts, seeking out higher performance, improved dynamics, increased driving capability and practicality, and greater electric efficiency. Like the current generation, the Taycan will be available as a sports sedan, a Cross Turismo, and a Sport Turismo, but for the new generation, the Cross Turismo will be available with an off-road package.
With the new Taycan on the horizon, Porsche is ready to continue and commit to its electrified approach to excellent luxury and performance, and the Taycan is set to remain at the forefront. With a new Nürburgring record under its belt already and the success of this intense testing, the new Porsche Taycan will surely be great.
