Many of us are used to Ford and Mercury models of cars sharing a ton of style and bones. There were a ton of them that shared platforms and architecture in the 1960’s and beyond, but how about earlier models? Even in the 1950’s they were super similar and shared components. But in 1939, on cars that look so similar, the truth is that there were some serious differences.
