The Tesla Model 3 has been the king of the NAF El Prix’s range tests since 2020, making HiPhi’s recent victory more impressive than it seems. What’s more, the Z was the only car that “had a deviation of less than 10% [compared to official estimates] in the winter test, and only one car has gone further in the test’s history.” In fact, the difference was only 5.9% – by far the lowest of all EVs tested.
Within the top three premium cars list, the HiPhi Z beat the first runner-up Lotus Eletre, which ran 465 km (289 miles) before running out of charge. The BMW i5 isn’t far from the British SUV, registering 444 km (276 miles) in the range test.
