Ford suggests myriad potential applications around the car. A large system could be used to accelerate air into an S-duct or under a splitter. Another could be used to spit the air out the back of the underside of the car, but even smaller applications are possible, potentially making wing mirrors, wheelhouses, brake ducts, intakes, vents, and existing active aero systems even more aerodynamically efficient.

Basically, by carefully applying this electric wind to key areas of the car, Ford could manipulate air in an even more efficient way than Gordon Murray’s T.50 does, and that has astonishing downforce despite no obvious flaps, vents, or wings.

In addition, such a system could negate the need for a dedicated radiator fan and could likely satisfy other cooling demands, too, saving weight.
