As Indians, we have a soft spot for gold. We are one of the largest consumers of this metal in the world. Gold is often associated with a status symbol as it represents wealth. When it comes to vehicles, we do not usually associate gold with cars or bikes. We have seen people wrap their cars in gold, but most of this trend is in Dubai. However, here in India, we have people who are so obsessed with this yellow metal that they decide to get their vehicles wrapped in gold. Here, we have Sunny Waghchure, also known as the “Gold Man,” and an uncle from Maharashtra who have wrapped their vehicles in gold.

Sunny Waghchure is from the Pimpri-Chinchwad region near Pune, Maharashtra, and has a collection of cars that are gold-wrapped. The first car in his collection is a Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Sunny got the whole car wrapped in gold. It should be noted that this is not actual gold but a wrap that is finished in this shade. The sedan seen here in the images belongs to an older generation. The E-Class sedan is one of the popular models from Mercedes-Benz in India, and the version seen here in the image was actually launched in 2012.

It was once the flagship offering from Audi in India. The SUV seen here is once again the older generation. Q7 was extremely popular among Bollywood celebs. The luxury SUV is also finished in gold.

The E-Class rival from Jaguar was also wrapped in a golden color wrap. Jaguar XF is an extremely feature-loaded car and offered features like retracting AC vents, pop-up gear knob, and many more.

This was the entry-level sedan from Audi for some time. The car was discontinued during the BS6 transition. As Sunny likes to wrap all his cars in a golden shade, we would be surprised if he doesn’t wrap his A3 in the same golden shade.

The older generation Vogue owned by Sunny, seen here, is finished in black shade. However, we are assuming that given his love for gold, he would have got this car wrapped in the same shade as others.

Leaving Sunny behind, we come across the video of an uncle from Maharashtra who has completely modified his Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle using golden accents. The motorcycle comes with brass-plated panels and trims, giving it a golden bike-like look. The original black color of the motorcycle has been maintained. The owner has cleverly replaced some of the chrome parts with brass-plated trims. For example, the turn indicator, headlamp cover, number plate, and upper portion of the front fork cover have been finished in this shade. He has also replaced the stock crash guards, footrests, clutch and brake levers, and odometer. Other than these two, we also have a gold-wrapped Rolls Royce Phantom in India. The car is, in fact, registered as a taxi in India and is owned by popular Kerala-based businessman Boby Chemmanur.
