In theory, Hennessey has already had a taste of the Venom F5 in an off-road environment. “We’ve just taken the F5 to the F.A.T Ice Race in Colorado and had fun there, so that’s our first foray into an off-road experience,” Malinick tells us. There, the Venom F5 Revolution was among a handful of OEM-backed entries partaking in the sideways shenanigans.
“Does that mean we’ll do a Venom F5 Dakar-type supercar?” asks Malinick. “It’s not in the plans for us right now, but I wouldn’t say no to something like that.”
But while it’s not in the pipeline, Hennessey has proven how quick it is to adapt to customer demand, something Malinick highlighted repeatedly throughout our interview. “We’re a small company and can adapt to what the customer wants,” he explains, telling us how the timeline on the Venom F5 Revolution’s gestation was moved up because of customer demands or how Project Deep Space was pushed back to prioritize other projects.
