OFFICIAL: Electric Dodge Charger Debuts In Exactly One Week

Dodge will reportedly offer the Charger EV with varying states of tune. Three battery power levels will be provided, with each stage available with Dodge Direct Connection upgrades.

For example, the entry-level model (with a 400-volt system) will have 455 horses. But eStage one and eStage two upgrades boost power to 495 hp and 535 hp, respectively. The mid-spec variant and the range-topping Banshee will also be offered with similar upgrades. This is a neat way of allowing gearheads to ‘tune’ their vehicles in the electric era.

Of course, those not quite ready for an electric muscle car shouldn’t fear. There are reports that Stellantis will also introduce a Hurricane inline-six-powered version. It will likely be less potent than its electric counterpart when it arrives, but it should appeal to more traditional muscle car fans.

We don’t have much longer to wait, with the reveal scheduled for a week from now.
