- Maserati unveils unique MC20 Cielo at the 2024 Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters
- Hand-painted, one-off supercar took one year to finish
- The Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo also publicly appeared
Maserati has revealed a one-of-a-kind MC20 Cielo at the 2024 Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters – a tournament the Italian marque has been sponsoring for three years in a row. The one-off open-top supercar is called the MC20 Cielo Opera d’arte, and this will be its first public appearance, displayed at the VIP Village area of the sporting event.
The MC20 Cielo Opera d’arte is a one-off creation made through a collaboration between the exclusive Maserati Fuoriserie customization program and Centro Stile. It’s made to a customer’s specifications, a one-off creation inspired by abstract art. Maserati says the car is a “true declaration of artistic independence, inspiration, intuition, imagination, and superior ability to give shape to a dream.”
Hand-Painted One-Off
According to the automaker, finishing the MC20 Cielo Opera d’arte took one full year at the Viale Ciro Menotti plant in Modena. The customized convertible went through a complex and refined process, produced by hand. Maserati describes the one-off’s livery as a modern canvas “where the brand’s past and future meet.” The details are stunning, to say the least, including the painted wheels that highlight the brand’s signature Trident marque.
Maserati didn’t disclose the MC20 Cielo Opera d’arte’s price, but we’re sure it warranted six figures judging by its intricate design that involved a painstakingly long process.
