Key Takeaways
- Bronco Raptor Black Appearance Package enhances aesthetics with Shadow & Matte black finishes.
- The $4,995 package includes a Shadow Black-painted roof, roll bar, and exterior decals.
- Follows the Code Orange package that was introduced last year.
Ford has introduced a new styling package for the Bronco Raptor, providing the hardcore off-roader with a more sinister appearance. Unveiled at the Bronco Off-Roadeo in Texas (during a solar eclipse, no less), the 2024 Bronco Raptor Black Appearance Package introduces Shadow and Matte black styling finishes.
The new package adds a Shadow Black-painted roof to the SUV, with matching fender flares, side mirror caps, and a roll bar finished in the same shade. This, says the Blue Oval, creates eye-catching contrasts with the Bronco’s available vivid paint colors.
The contrasting roll bar takes inspiration from the sixth-generation Bronco concept. And the additions don’t end there. The front steel bumper, tow hooks, and skid plate receive a sporty Matte Black finish. Ford says the painted skid plate was inspired by existing customers who have customized their Bronco Raptors.
What Else Does The Black Appearance Package Add?
Aside from the aforementioned upgrades, the package also introduces decals on the hood and the side of the vehicle.
“Customers choose Bronco Raptor for two reasons: its high-performance off-road capability and its distinctive appearance,” said Bronco manager Jason Hyde. “The Black Appearance gives them a look that stands out on any trail and under any sky, even a total solar eclipse,” he added.

Bronco Raptor buyers interested in the Black Appearance Package must be prepared to fork over a hefty chunk of change. Order books for the Black Appearance pack will open up at the end of April.

Latest In A Long Line Of Bronco Raptor Upgrades
A few weeks ago, Ford Performance unveiled carbon fiber exterior accessories for the off-roader. The kit comprises fender flares, front fender vents, a tailgate panel, and a vented hood insert. Thankfully, it comes with fasteners, so there’s no need to cut into the bodywork.
Of course, carbon fiber accessories don’t come cheap, with the automaker charging $13,295. However, customers can pick and choose which accessories they want and don’t need to splurge on the entire kit.
Ford introduced another improvement (albeit not visual) in February. The Bronco Raptor can now be equipped with a new $1,300 Severe Duty Steering Upgrade Kit that includes tougher inner tie rods and outer tie rods with deflection ball joints. This improves articulation and makes the independent front suspension tougher than the stock setup.
