Actors and actresses in the film industry, be it Bollywood or regional cinema, are paid well. They are often paid in lakhs or even crores, depending on their star value. Just like actors and actresses, we have lately seen many child artists coming into the industry too. They have made a space for themselves in the industry and are also paid well. One such child artist from the Tamil movie industry is Manasvi Kottachi. Recently, a video of her surfaced online where she was seen taking delivery of her brand new Kia Sonet SUV. The video was shared by Actor Kottachi, who is Manasvi’s father. Manasvi became popular in the industry for her role in Nayanthara’s “Imaikka Nodigal” movie, where she played Nayanthara’s daughter.

In the video, we see Manasvi, her father, and mother at the dealership. The family was there to take delivery of their brand new car. Everyone looked extremely happy and excited about the new purchase. The car was, in fact, a gift to Manasvi, who had always dreamt of owning a big car.
The child actor can be seen talking to the dealership staff, who were teaching her when to lift the cloth covering the car. Finally, after the paperwork was done, the family unveiled their new car. It is a Kia Sonet SUV finished in a beautiful shade of black.
Looking at the bumper, it seems like the parents opted for the Tech Line version of the Sonet. The GT Line variants get a different design for the skid plate. We do not see the family driving the car out of the dealership. The video ends just after the vehicle was unveiled. There are no details related to the variant that the actor has opted for.
The Kia Sonet is one of the most popular SUVs in the sub-4-meter segment. It received an update earlier this year, making it look more aggressive. The exterior of the SUV has been revised to look sportier, and we see revised tail lamps with a connected LED bar running across the tailgate.
Kia has not made any changes to the engine and transmission options. The SUV continues to get a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine.
Kia offers the Sonet in Tech Line and GT Line variants, with minor cosmetic differences. The 1.0-liter turbo petrol and the 1.5-liter diesel engine are available with GT Line variants, while the 1.2-liter petrol only comes with the Tech Line. Kia offers features like ventilated seats, wireless phone charging, an electric sunroof, leatherette upholstery, electrically adjustable driver seats, automatic climate control, a digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and more.
The price for the Kia Sonet starts at Rs 7.99 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 15.75 lakh, ex-showroom. Kia has also revised the lineup and has now started offering features like a sunroof from the base HTE variant itself.
This is not the first time we have seen a child artist receive a gift like this in India. Last year, we came across a report where child artist Riva Arora, who debuted in the movie ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike,’ was gifted an Audi Q3 SUV for achieving 10 million followers on Instagram by her parents.
