BMW i4 Reportedly Receiving Powertrain And Battery Updates Next Year

Key Takeaways

  • BMW offering attractive incentives for i4, i5, i7, and iX luxury electric vehicles.
  • Up to $12,900 off the i7 luxury sedan.
  • BMW i4 and i5 available with a $5,000 purchase incentive.

BMW is looking to drum up sales of all its electric vehicles, with new rebates lowering the price of every battery-powered vehicle in BMW North America’s range. According to a dealer bulletin seen by Cars Direct, both the 2024 BMW i4 and BMW i5 are available with a $5,000 purchase incentive.

The deal, available until April 30, can be a Loan Credit when purchasing the vehicle through BMW Financial Services or a “Non-FS Credit” for cash purchases. With it, an entry-level i4 eDrive35 could be bought for $47,200 – not much more than a 330e Sedan. However, that’s not where the savings end.

Loyalty Discounts Add To The Already Impressive Savings

The Bavarian brand is also offering loyalty discounts on the i4 ($1,000) and the i5 ($1,500), which means even more significant savings. The base i5 is $66,800, but with the $5,000 rebate and $1,500 loyalty bonus, that is quickly brought down to $60,300. It’s not a bad deal, considering the i5 won World Luxury Car of the Year.

Driven: 2024 BMW i7 Is So Nice It Might Ruin Other Luxury EVs

We think this is how electric luxury should be.

Should you decide to lease, BMW has a $7,500 lease credit on both models, which is just as good as the government’s tax credit incentive. For a limited time, BMW customers can enjoy the same benefits given to someone purchasing, say, a Volkswagen ID.4 or Ford F-150 Lightning. And it gets even better if you’re shopping at the upper ends of the market.

Massive $13,000 Incentive For The i7 Luxury Sedan

The BMW iX and BMW i7 may be aesthetically polarizing, but they’re stellar electric luxury cars. Both of these EVs are eligible for a $9,900 lease credit, which is a substantial chunk of change. What’s more, the i7 gets a $3,000 loyalty discount, which means a potential saving of $12,900 is on the table. That’s a considerable saving and will undoubtedly appeal to those seeking an emissions-free luxury sedan.

Aside from the rebates, those who choose to finance their battery-powered Bimmers will be treated to 3.99% APR financing, which is a relatively good deal. And if you live on the West Coast and drive an electric vehicle from another brand, the marque will throw in an extra $1,000 to change sides. If you’re going to drive an EV for the first time, perhaps the allure of that famous roundel and these discounts are just what you’ve been looking for.
