Everatti specializes in building all-electric restomods – or electromods – of iconic cars, and CarBuzz has now learned that nothing is off limits when it comes to electrifying icons of the past, as the next project in the pipeline is the world’s first fully electric Lamborghini LM002. That’s right, the LM002 – affectionately known as the ‘Rambo Lambo’ – will lose the V12 heart sourced from the original Countach in favor of a battery and electric motors.

Speaking to Justin Lunny, founder and CEO of Everrati Automotive, CarBuzz learned that a client based in the United Arab Emirates has commissioned the ambitious project. “We’re at the early stages [of the project],” confirmed Lunny, telling us that Everrati is “very much [in the] engineering [and] feasibility studies stage right now.” While the project is completely unique, Everrati will be able to leverage its existing technologies from previous models for the build. “Essentially, we will use the same technologies as we’ve put in our other supercar/hypercar-type builds.”

Everrati’s Partnership With W Motors Already Paying Dividends

Everrati recently announced a partnership with W Motors in the UAE – the manufacturer of the Lykan HyperSport – and this partnership may be exploited in completing the electric LM002. “It will be built, from an engineering perspective, in the UK, and possibly finished in the UAE by W Motors,” says Lunny, before telling us that this is “where things like that relationship really come into their own because we need a local partner to do that kind of work; they’re perfect for that.”

As it stands, the engineering and restoration of the donor body would occur in the UK, but according to Lunny, “the client may well decide ‘actually, I wanna do something wacky’ and create a carbon fiber body for it,” in which case, a custom body would be built by Aria Group in California, a specialist manufacturing company that builds Everrati’s custom carbon fiber bodywork as well as the bodies for the Czinger 21C – which begins deliveries this summer.

A One-Off For Now, But Not Necessarily Forever

While the project is the first of its kind in the world and a one-off for the time being, Everrati is open to building more electric Rambo Lambos. The company works on commissions like this on a regular basis and affords its clients the option of exclusivity in a build, for a fee, of course. But the latter option hasn’t been exercised by the commissioner of this particular creation, meaning that if you like what you see (when it’s complete, that is), then you could approach Everrati to build one for you, too.

W Motors will serve as Everrati’s manufacturing partner in the Middle East and build bespoke EVs using Everrati B2B electric drivetrain systems.

Details of the build will become clear in due course, but if Everatti wants to match the presence of the original 5.2-liter V12 engine (which was known to produce up to 449 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque), it’s going to need to do something bold. This will, however, be the first electric Lamborghini SUV to hit the streets, as a production version of the Lanzador is several years away still, and the first-ever plug-in hybrid Urus SE has only just been launched this past month.
