Hispano Suiza is about to celebrate its 120th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the company is expanding the Carmen electric hypercar lineup with the introduction of the Sagrera. Rimac Nevera Is No Longer The World’s Fastest Electric Vehicle
With a speed of 272.59 mph, the little-known Japanese supercar has blown the Rimac Nevera and Pininfarina Battista out of the water.
It looks as though the car could just fly away, which makes sense since the design was inspired by stork wings. The Sagrera otherwise retains the distinctive styling of the Carmen lineup that includes a diffuser similar to the Boulogne along with copper accents and new hood vents. Its differences, however, are not just about looks.

Does The Giant Carmen Sagrera Wing Look Good?
It looks like a crazy hyper car, but would it look better with something less gigantic sticking up off the back?
Better Aerodynamics
These changes improve aerodynamics and increase downforce for better grip. They also improve cornering and offer better lateral acceleration control. In addition, the Sagrera gets an upgraded battery to improve range and a modified chassis for better handling.

The same quad-motor setup found in the Carmen Boulogne carries over to the Sagrera. It gives this electric hypercar 1,100 horsepower with 855.6 lb-ft of torque and a 0-62 mph time of only 2.6 seconds. A self-locking rear differential for the rear axle, adjustable suspension, and carbon ceramic brakes round out the performance upgrades. This is a solid competitor to the likes of the Rimac Nevera or the Pininfarina Battista.
Better Range
It also has a new 103 kWh lithium-ion battery which marks an increase over the prior 80 kWh battery. This should give it a WLTP range of 298 miles per charge, which is generally a bit higher than what the EPA range would be due to differences in testing processes.

There’s also a lighter cooling system made using sustainable materials. This setup offers greater range along with better weight distribution for improved handling. Expect to see this laest Carmen make its dynamic debut at Goodwood this July.
