Big B of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, is one of the biggest names in the Indian film industry. The actor owns several expensive cars and SUVs in his garage. Last year, during his birthday, he gifted himself a brand new Land Rover Defender. Not just any Defender, but the Defender 130. We have seen images of the SUV on several occasions. This time around, we have a video where the actor is seen driving this luxury SUV worth crores. Amitabh Bachchan will soon be seen in Kalki 2898 AD, a Telugu sci-fi flick that also stars the Bujji – India’s answer to the BatMobile. Bachchan was last seen in a Bollywood flick called Ganapath.

The video has been shared by ShowshaIndia on their YouTube channel. In this video, we see the Defender 130 finished in Sedona Red on the road. The short video that has been circulating on the internet shows the car moving forward.
The actor is wearing a cap and is seen in the driver’s seat of the Defender. Amitabh Bachchan is seen alone in the SUV in this video. At the end, we see the actor applying the brakes and pulling the SUV to the left shoulder of the road.
It is not clear what the actor was trying to do here. Was he simply looking for a parking space on the roadside, or was he on his way to pick someone up? We don’t know.
Land Rover Defender 130
The Land Rover Defender is a legendary SUV, and the current generation model of the SUV gained popularity almost immediately. Many Indian celebrities and politicians bought this SUV. The Defender 130 was launched at a later stage. It is the longest variant of the Defender available for sale.
The Defender is sold in 90, 110, and 130 variants. The 130 variant gets three-row seats, while the other two have only two-row seats. The Defender 130 is actually 340mm longer than the 110 version. The wheelbase of the SUV remains the same as the 110. The Land Rover Defender 110 is available with both petrol and diesel engine options.

The petrol version uses a 3.0-litre petrol engine (P400) which generates 394 Bhp and 550 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version uses a 3.0-litre turbocharged engine that generates 296 Bhp and 600 Nm of peak torque. Both engines get mild-hybrid technology and are paired with an automatic transmission as standard. The power is sent to all four wheels.

Many celebrities in India and abroad have bought this legendary SUV, and there is a reason behind it. The Defender name holds a lot of history. It is one of those SUVs that was built to conquer any terrain. The previous generations of the Defenders were hardcore off-roaders and didn’t offer many creature comforts.

Most actors and actresses have bought the Defender 110. We feel it is only Amitabh Bachchan who owns the Defender 130 in Bollywood. The price for a brand new Defender 130 starts at Rs 1.39 crore, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 1.46 crore, ex-showroom.
